I began piano lessons at seven years old after watching a concert pianist perform a Beethoven Sonata on PBS. I was immediately infatuated by the instrument. That early foundation shaped my lifelong relationship with music. As I grew, I joined band and orchestra, performing on French horn and bass guitar in jazz band — experiences that broadened my understanding of music beyond the piano.
By high school, I was already teaching piano lessons and discovered something important: I loved helping others succeed. Teaching continued through college, where I minored in Piano Performance while earning my degree in Business Administration (Accounting emphasis).
Music has always remained part of my life, and I currently perform with the Camarillo Community Band. Staying active as a musician keeps my teaching fresh, inspired, and grounded in real performance experience.
At The Music Den, I focus on personal growth first — helping students build confidence and discipline — while also developing a strong musical foundation that prepares them for future study.
